Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter for ramekins
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Fresh berries

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)

Butter 4 ramekins and dust with cocoa powder

Melt chocolate and butter in double boiler

Whisk eggs and sugar until pale

Combine chocolate mixture with egg mixture

Fold in flour and salt

Divide batter among ramekins

Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are firm

Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates

Serve with ice cream and berries
